About Sofía
¡Hola! I'm Sofía — a certified translator, language teacher, and creative thinker with over 11 years of experience helping teens and adults connect deeply with Spanish and English. My teaching style is tailored, intuitive, and supportive. I adapt each lesson to the student’s goals and learning style, whether you’re building grammar skills, gaining fluency, or practicing conversation. With a background in psychology, I create a calm, encouraging space where learning feels natural and engaging. Beyond teaching, I’m also a fine art photographer: a passion that brings creativity and cultural insight into my classes. I see language as more than words: it’s a bridge to self-expression, connection, and discovery. If you're looking for a dedicated, empathetic, and inspiring tutor, I’d love to be part of your learning journey!

She is a great teacher! Sofía helped me prepare for including critical parts of my MA dissertation regarding texts and music in Spanish. She is one of the best language professors I have ever had, and her style is fun and unique.
I highly recommend her lessons for any level. Even when my preparation was on the higher end, her explanations and conversations are suitable for any level. Take the chance!View more recommendations
