About Dorian
I am a dedicated guitar instructor with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and over five years of teaching experience, working with students ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players. My own journey with the guitar began in childhood, fueled by curiosity and inspired by a deep love of musical storytelling. Over the years, that passion has grown into a commitment to helping others find their own path through music. My teaching approach is shaped by real-world experience as both an educator and performer. I’ve played in various settings—from acoustic sessions to full band environments—which allows me to bring practical insight and versatility into each lesson. I enjoy connecting with students’ interests, whether that means breaking down their favorite songs or introducing them to new techniques and styles. I emphasize patience, structure, and creativity. My goal is to make guitar playing both accessible and rewarding by building confidence alongside skill. I adapt to different learning styles and make sure every student feels seen, heard, and supported. Whether preparing for a performance or just strumming for fun, I aim to nurture musical growth and curiosity in every session. Outside of teaching, I stay active as a musician—collaborating on projects, writing original music, and continuing my own learning. I believe in lifelong growth and bring that same mindset to my students. Teaching guitar is not just about chords and scales; it’s about inspiring a love for music and helping each student enjoy the unique voice they can create through their instrument.
