About Beate

I am a Honours Graduate currently teaching at a Primary School. I have plenty of experience with both Remedial and mainstream learners as well as primary through to high school grade 9. I have my own transport and am willing to travel to your home. I have been teaching /tutoring since 2007.

About the lesson

I teach one on one. I like to do a general assessment of the learner and conduct a small interview to get a feel for what is required. I preplan lessons and scaffold on them. I teach and then assess what we have worked on so that I can see the concept was well understood. I am very big on communication as this is a vital part of teaching and learning. I provide all my own resources as well as tests and assessments. After each lesson a breakdown of what we have worked on and a mini report back to the parent is provided so they are aware of progress made. Each lesson is tailor made to suit each individual. I also do a survey to identify which learning style is best suited for the individual. Eg. Are they a kinesthetic learner, visual or auditory. All these are included in my lessons as I find it important to keep the learning environment fun and relaxed. Each learner is pushed on their own ability and taught to self motivate.

A little about me! I am a Honours Graduate currently teaching at a Primary School. I have been teaching / tutoring since 2007. I am kind and motherly however strict and firm when need be. I am a dedicated worker and only provide 110% at all times.
