About Rex

With over 35 years of advertising and media development, I have worked on, produced, or directed over 45 broadcast documentaries, telling human stories. Over my advertising career, I have directed hundreds of television commercials and created many corporate dramas and entertainment. Working across the fields of branding, product, retail, and cars, I have worked with most global brands, both in FMCG, fashion, and healthcare. Photographically, I have reinforced those brands with still imagery complementing each still created by the campaigns.

About the lesson

Each lesson is done at a client's house or suitable location, where you will learn about composure, lighting, interaction, and mood. I'll teach you what settings are important, how to compose the shot, and how to capture that image. Using yourself as the subject, I'll photograph you showing each step along the way, creating for you a comprehensive output of images. An invaluable lesson, you will see how a professional works, interacts with, and sees the images from the camera, fully adjustable as we work. As all my sessions are tethered (camera and computer connected), you learn about lighting, technical colors of skin tones, and various degrees of Kelvin light source, black and white, and natural light as opposed to artificial, strobes or constant LEDs as an option. At the end, you will get a portfolio of images from your lesson and a guide to how you can look.
