About Samarpal
I graduated from high school in 2025 with an ATAR of 96.05 and achieved Band 6 results in Mathematics Advanced, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth and Environmental Science (accelerated).
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Advanced) at the University of Sydney. I chose to study science because I like how it teaches about the world around us, and I would like to continue this curiosity into a career in research.
Specializing in Year 11 and 12 Chemistry and Physics, I help students master the HSC through a balance of understanding and practice. My own success was built on completing over 3000 exam-style questions per subject. I use analogies to make difficult abstract concepts easy to grasp, ensuring students truly understand the content. Once the foundation is set, I provide targeted practice to refine exam technique and build confidence.
I currently tutor two students and work well with all types of learners, from those aiming to improve foundational understanding to high achievers striving for top marks. I emphasize discipline, consistency, and effective study habits, as these are essential for success in Year 12.
I offer both online and in-person tutoring and aim to create a supportive but structured learning environment that helps students achieve measurable improvement.

My lessons are structured and exam-focused, typically running for 60 to 120 minutes depending on the student’s needs. I begin by reviewing key theory to ensure strong conceptual understanding, followed by targeted exam-style questions to apply and consolidate knowledge.
I explain challenging Physics and Chemistry concepts using clear analogies and visualization, helping students genuinely understand the content rather than memorize it. Lessons make extensive use of past HSC questions and school-provided material, and I assign structured practice tasks between sessions to reinforce learning.
A strong emphasis is placed on exam technique. I teach students how to structure responses effectively, manage time under exam conditions, and avoid common HSC traps and mistakes. I also guide students through the ideal thinking process required during exams.
I adapt my teaching to suit all types of students and currently tutor two students who have shown improved understanding and stronger academic results. Lessons are available online using digital whiteboards and presentations, or in person at a library. My goal is to help students achieve their academic goals while developing a genuine interest in the subject.
