About Ashis
I have been an IB Math HL/SL teacher since July 2006, and am known as a quality facilitator for students. In my long career, I have supported Extended Essay in mathematics throughout and thoroughly enjoy guiding students for the same. I have previously been head of the departments of various IB schools namely Singapore International School, Mumbai, International School Aamby, Lonavala, and MIT’s Vishwashanti Gurukul, Pune. I had been actively involved in developing effective curriculums which enhance the learners’ performance to an enviable height. During my long career, I have developed the mathematics curriculum in all these schools which has led to remarkable improvement to the school average in mathematics.

Teaching has been my passion, and I strongly believe in delivering clarity of concepts through inquiry and open discussions, which hold the key to motivating learners and eventual success in learning mathematics. The most effective teaching-learning method relies on the learners taking active participation in crafting questions on a concept and justifying the method involved. This technique has produced remarkable performances and results throughout my carrier.
