About Anna Maria

Currently I am a Chemistry student at Imperial College London. For my young age I have a rather big experience in the field of private tutoring/tuition. For the last two years I have been extensively working in the private tutoring area. I have experience in tutoring Mathematics and Chemistry for primary school, secondary school, GSCE, A-Levels including A-levels international and IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) for students of varied ages.
My work has helped many students achieve A and A* in their final examinations and succeed in university application process. Being taught in depth, the grades of my students have improved exponentially during the year. I have experience offering varied options of private tuition, e.g., a few private classes to develop an understanding of a specific topic and tutoring over the whole syllabus.
I am a very confident and ambitious tutor; student achieving their desired results is of highest priority to me. Moreover, I have recently graduated from high school, therefore, I perfectly understand what students need to achieve success in mathematics and chemistry classes today.

About the lesson

I have worked with a wide variety of students from agile beginners during their first steps in science and mathematics classes to advanced learners in their senior years. I have experienced teaching for primary and secondary school, GSCE, A-Levels including A-Levels International as well as IB (International Baccalaureate). Mainly I adjust my methodology to every student individually by developing a unique plan since every single student requires right approach to understand the material fully.
One of the key points to develop special tutoring schedule/plan for a student is to collect the information surrounding the course taken. That involves not only a thorough analysis of the course syllabus but also investigation of personal weaknesses and specific strengths to make a curriculum that will fulfill all the needs and focus on the topics where improvement is needed. Moreover, my lessons are never confined to the material and problems given by the course book, I always provide students with additional materials and questions which help them understand the topic better.
Unlike most of the tutoring programes, mine IS NOT focused only on the success in examinations and university application but also aims at gaining real understanding of the course the student is undertaking. This is the reason I try to keep my lessons truly enjoyable and a bit playful for young learners. I believe that lessons that are boring and tiresome are ineffective.
