About Mei
I am a drawing student at the Georges Méliès school (Orly, 94), which I joined after obtaining a literary bac, with specialty and option plastic arts. The preparatory drawing year that I followed allowed me to acquire solid drawing skills and a good knowledge of art history, which I would like to share!

First of all, I would like to point out that the philosophy that motivates my work is closer to that of the craftsman than that of the artist. Drawing is an exercise in rigor, precision, which cannot however be dissociated from the sensitivity of the designer, and which also derives all its beauty. I received from the School a training mainly focused on the observation and interpretation of Nature. My teaching method therefore favors drawing from nature: sketch on the motif, observation drawing, perspective, sketch on the fly in motion. These exercises require the acquisition of reflexes and methods of observation, which we will of course take the time to discover and understand. In order to provide students with the widest possible education, it seems to me very important to approach several techniques. Monochrome techniques, such as charcoal, ink wash, or graphite, are of course of paramount importance in drawing, and these are the techniques we will use the most. However, coloring techniques such as acrylic paint, dry pastel or watercolor can also be addressed. Of course, this program is malleable, and largely depends on the demands and needs of the students. The price of the material is included in the price. My lessons are aimed at students of beginner and intermediate level, from 10 years old.
