About Leonardo
Ciao, my name is Leonardo! I am 28 years old and currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Genoa and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Last year, I moved to England for a research period at the University of Warwick and began teaching Italian to friends from various countries. I am a super curious person. I love travelling and making new connections. I have dedicated a considerable amount of time to studying languages, ranging from Latin and Greek to modern ones like English, French, and German... and yes, I am still at it! I firmly believe that the key to mastering a new language lies in interacting with native speakers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Drawing from my extensive experience as both a student and a teacher, I am eager to share my skills with those who wish to embark with me on a virtual journey into Italian culture.

My teaching approach focuses on developing the four language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - by immersing students in Italian culture. Based on my experiences as a student and teacher, I have found that language learning is quick and enjoyable when delving into the history and culture of a nation. Grammar is absorbed more effectively when we fall in love with a culture that is different from our own. Students will receive handouts and audiovisual materials customised to their skills, needs and interests. Lessons will take place online in a relaxed, friendly and collaborative learning atmosphere. The first meeting will serve as an introduction to get to know each other and organise the work.
