About David
My name is David and I'm currently a 4th year medical student at Imperial College London. I received 10A* at GCSEs alongside the top mark in FSMQ additional maths and received A*A*A in A-levels. The A-levels I took were maths, biology and chemistry (GCSE and A-Level bio and chem I have tutored full-time). I also play the piano and violin at grade 7. Aptitude Test Qualifications: I attained 7.4 in Section 1 of my BMAT exam (achieved by only the top 2% of candidates), and 3240 in the UCAT (top 1%) setting me apart from other BMAT and UCAT tutors and proving I know how to ace this notoriously difficult exam. Interviewer Qualifications: I have 2+ years experience scoring candidates using the grading system at the Imperial MMIs and know exactly what it takes for my students to pass with flying colours. - ππ§ππ₯π²π¬π’π¬ πππ¬π¬π’π¨π§ = This session is where I teach you all the theory you will need to know to ace your interview e.g. hot topics/ethical scenarios/NHS. - Through this, I plan to improve your answer quality and general interview skills. Each hour is split between question-asking and precise advice and feedback. We will cover a range of standard, unique and challenging questions - I have 2+ years experience scoring candidates during the admissions MMIs at Imperial College and thus know exactly what it takes for my students to ace each boundary in the interviews. - πππ«π¬π¨π§ππ₯ ππππππ¦ππ§π πππ―π’ππ° = I give extremely thorough Personal Statement feedback. I spend 2 hours reviewing your statement at home and can email you line-by-line annotated feedback and overall comments. Following this, students often like to make changes to their draft and send their new draft back to me to review a second time. My students are free to message me at any point if they have any questions about their feedback. - BMAT sessions - I can offer detailed explanations for answers to BMAT questions you find challenging and personalised advice on how to improve performance across question types to ace your BMAT. These sessions are 1:1 virtual calls and, while general BMAT tutoring is included, I encourage you to send me specific queries and exam questions youβre struggling with 72hrs before the call so we can go through them and you can get the most out of the session. β’ πππ ππ¨ππ€ ππ§πππ«π―π’ππ° = Mock interviews conducted by myself that last 1 hour in MMI/panel style. Feedback is typed up in much detail and is given ASAP. All my students are free to email me any questions they have at any point during their application, to help them feel fully supported throughout their application. All my lessons are virtual to accommodate those who live far away as well. The flexibility of lessons will be mainly around your timings!
