About Betsy
Between studying physics, for years I have been using my own educational experience and my love for science and maths to help engage other young people with their studies, whether directly through mentoring and tutoring or through my work in science outreach.
Science and maths are such amazing subjects to be able to understand and engage with, and I love being able to share my interest and knowledge and help students build confidence in studying them.
I always foster a dynamic where it is ok to get things completely wrong. Making mistakes and learning from them is the best way to improve and really enjoy learning!

My name is Betsy, I’m a 25 year old physics PhD Student. I have been tutoring Physics and Maths in schools for the past two years with excellent results, so I am very familiar with the current curriculum and the many challenges students are facing at the moment.
I have an enthusiastic and creative approach to teaching science and maths from KS3 up to A level. I am also very happy to tutor undergraduate-level Physics.
Lessons are typically 1-2 hours and involve identifying the topics you need to focus on, finding an intuitive way to understand those topics, and then tackling questions to consolidate understanding.
Everybody learns differently though, so we will always work together to find the learning methods that work best for you.
