About Ridge
I am a writer by profession and am a musician/rapper during my leisure. My lyric writing skills have allowed me to pen some tracks for local artists, including a few international, underground/independent artists. I have a Master of Arts in Writing and have been practicing the art of poetic/lyrical writing since high school.

Since rap is highly based on rhythm and delivery, I begin by asking students what their favorite rap song is. I then ask them if they could rap to the beat without the artist rapping. If they cannot, practicing this will be step one. Afterwards, we will move onto developing a musical "skeleton" where you will begin to learn different lyric writing techniques and apply them to your craft.
