Trained in Industrial Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and also a lifelong learner, I have honed a rigorous, structured approach to visual communication. My background emphasizes the technical side of drawing such as understanding perspective, form, and proportion which is essential for design understanding and accurate sketching.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop strong observational skills and core sketching techniques to translate what they see into accurate, compelling drawings. Whether you want to master product sketching or build a fundamental drawing portfolio, I tailor my instruction to your specific goals.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of your goals, followed by an assessment of your current skills. I then provide a catered approach of instruction that meets you where you're at. I use demonstration of core techniques like perspective, line weight, shading, and proportion. From there, we transition into guided practice where you apply these skills to reference materials or real-world objects, ending with a constructive review of your progress.
What sets me apart is my background. As a BFA Industrial Design student at SCAD, I bring a structured, disciplined approach to drawing, combined with practical techniques used by professional designers. I emphasize understanding form and function, and drawing from imagination over replication.
