About Lilibeth
My enthusiasm for STEM flourished as a young child. I was exposed to advanced science and mathematics topics throughout my early learning; I had amazing math teachers in grade school and loved learning! I was very successful in athletics and graduated among the top in my class. However, when I began my college career at Texas A&M University, I STRUGGLED at first and had a rude awakening of how far "being smart" can get you... Needless to say, not only do you have to put in the work, you need to figure out ways that will enable you to learn quickly! My tutoring approach began developing in high school, when I tutored 4th-12th graders, and I continued refining my learning tactics during my college years. Although it took me years to discover effective and efficient learning methods, I not only made it through engineering school, I excelled. I became a member of The American Honor Society for Industrial Engineering students and graduated on the Dean's Honor Roll by leveraging the skills I gained and my time with my professors and teaching assistants. Today, I am confident that the following learning approach will set students up for success.

One-on-one time when learning new ideas is CRITICAL, especially when we can't seem to get it on our own or in classroom settings. This time fosters an engaging and open environment where students are enabled to ask questions about things we may not be grasping. Students will also learn strategic note-taking, study methods, time-management, and organizational skills to further equip them in their current and future/higher education. Supplemental tutoring would include spending extra time on problems/topics students are not yet confident in to bring them up to speed in their school curriculum, going over theorem/rules when necessary. For students seeking full lesson plans, theorems and rules are broken down into 1-2 lessons, each being followed with follow-along examples of questions/problems. For both cases, individual work (assignments, quizzes, and/or practicals) is to be completed and evaluated in order to gauge the students' understanding and progress.
