About Aiden
I have 3 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Arts in STEM Education. Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with students who initially believed algebra was too difficult, helping them discover that success comes through understanding concepts, practicing consistently, and asking thoughtful questions. Creating a supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to grow is central to my teaching philosophy.
One learner struggled with graphing linear functions because interpreting slopes and intercepts visually often caused confusion. Through graphing activities, interactive demonstrations, and gradual progression from simple to more challenging exercises, the student gained confidence and significantly improved both classroom participation and examination performance.
I believe algebra develops valuable skills such as logical reasoning, perseverance, organization, and critical thinking that benefit students throughout their education and future careers. My lessons encourage curiosity, resilience, and active participation while ensuring every learner feels comfortable learning from mistakes and celebrating progress.
Outside teaching, I enjoy developing digital mathematics resources, exploring innovative educational technologies, and participating in professional learning communities that focus on effective STEM instruction. My teaching approach is centered on making algebra approachable, engaging, and meaningful for every student. Before lessons begin, I conduct an informal skills assessment to identify each learner's current understanding, learning preferences, and academic objectives. Using this information, I create a structured learning pathway that develops confidence while gradually introducing more advanced algebraic concepts through carefully sequenced instruction.
Students explore algebraic expressions, linear equations, inequalities, functions, graphing techniques, exponents, radicals, polynomial operations, factoring methods, rational equations, quadratic relationships, and systems of equations through interactive lessons that balance conceptual explanations with practical application. I encourage students to recognize patterns, compare different solving strategies, and explain their reasoning to strengthen analytical thinking and mathematical communication.
Lessons incorporate examples from entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, digital technology, construction, economics, and sports analytics to demonstrate how algebra supports real-world decision-making. Frequent knowledge checks, cumulative revision sessions, collaborative problem-solving activities, and personalized assignments help reinforce learning while identifying opportunities for improvement. Every student receives detailed feedback designed to encourage continuous academic growth.
Students preparing for school examinations, board assessments, SAT, ACT, scholarship tests, university entrance examinations, or mathematics competitions receive individualized preparation plans featuring targeted revision, examination strategies, timed assessments, and comprehensive progress reviews. My objective is to help learners become independent, confident, and accurate problem solvers.
