About Daphne
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Studies and a Master of Music in Piano Interpretation. During the past 11 years, I have worked with learners of different ages and experience levels, helping them develop confidence and musical understanding. My passion for piano began through performance experiences, collaborative music-making, and a lifelong fascination with musical expression. Teaching allows me to share that passion while helping students discover their own abilities. Supporting learner growth remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
My teaching style combines patience, structure, and adaptability. I understand that every student learns differently, so lessons are tailored to individual strengths and goals. Technical development is always connected to practical musical application, ensuring that learning remains meaningful and enjoyable. Students receive encouragement and guidance that support steady improvement. This creates a positive learning environment where confidence can flourish.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, studying new repertoire, and exploring educational approaches that improve musical learning. These interests help me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Watching students achieve goals they once considered challenging is deeply fulfilling. I strive to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and effective. My goal is to help learners build a lifelong connection with music.

My piano lessons are built around helping students develop musical fluency from the very beginning. I focus on finger independence, reading accuracy, rhythm awareness, hand coordination, keyboard geography, dynamic control, sight reading, and expressive interpretation through carefully planned activities. Students learn how different musical elements work together so they can play with greater confidence and understanding. Rather than relying only on repetition, I encourage active listening and thoughtful practice habits. This approach creates strong musical foundations and steady progress.
Every lesson is customized to fit the learner’s goals, interests, and current ability level. Some students enjoy structured technical development, while others are motivated by performance preparation or creative exploration. Activities may include duet playing, rhythm training, accompaniment skills, chord understanding, ear development, and practical musicianship exercises. Clear feedback helps learners identify strengths and improve efficiently. This balanced structure keeps lessons engaging while supporting long-term growth.
My goal is to help students become independent musicians who can confidently approach new musical challenges. As skills improve, learners gain greater freedom to express themselves and enjoy music more deeply. Lessons encourage consistency, curiosity, and self-belief. Every accomplishment contributes to stronger musicianship and confidence. I want students to feel motivated by their progress and excited about future opportunities.
