About Timea
I am a highly qualified and outstanding, DBS checked Mathematics teacher, with several years of teaching and private tutoring experience in London, Oxford and Hong Kong, guaranteed to achieve the best possible results for all levels and all different exam boards.
I chose the subject of mathematics for a teaching career because I find it the most fascinating topic and I like to inspire young people to increase their love for Mathematics.
I have started to help students with their Mathematics in 2008, in London. Then in Milton Keynes I was responsible to raise numeracy across the school, identifying students who were not meeting their target and setting up a strategic plan to improve. Meanwhile I also completed my teaching qualification at Oxford Brookes University. After successfully completing my training I became a teacher at St Gregory's Catholic Science College where I have helped my students to make good and outstanding progress. To further enhance my professional development and to explore another culture I had a fantastic opportunity to be offered a teaching role at YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College, in Hong Kong, where after a month of starting, I was promoted to become the IGCSE Coordinator (year 10 and 11) and Form 2 Coordinator (year 9 equivalent) within the Mathematics Department. Currently I am teaching in a boarding independent school in London.
I have great passion for mathematics which leads me to having a lot of creativity in my teaching. I like to vary my teaching style, and my main focus is to create independent learners who can tap into a wide range of Mathematical knowledge to solve even the more complex problems and to enjoy the process while doing it.
