About Cheryl
"Breath control and resonance are the pillars of my vocal coaching. I teach these technical skills with the focus of a trained musician. Over 10 years, I have guided 122 students through the nuances of head and chest voice. Kids and teens often respond well to my energetic approach.
Intermediate adult learners appreciate the depth I bring to diction and articulation. My background includes a Diploma of Music from JMC Academy, which informs every warm-up exercise. Stage fear management is a standard part of our work together.
I enjoy watching students move from nervous beginners to confident performers. It really is a joy to share this musical life with such a diverse group of people."

"Many vocalists fear that their natural range is too narrow to sing the songs they love. You might feel restricted by your current technique, but I will show you how to expand your resonance. I use 10 years of experience to help you find your unique tone through consistent practice.
Because I build a personalized song list around each student's range, you never have to struggle with keys that do not fit. We will work on belting technique and vibrato control in a way that feels safe. I believe that singing should feel as natural as speaking while maintaining total control of your breath.
My approach relies on keeping the mood light even when we are doing rigorous pitch correction work. We will make sure your articulation is sharp and your stage presence is authentic."
