About Nelson

I'm a 21-year-old native Spanish speaker with a passion for languages, connection, and helping others grow. I've had the opportunity to coach people from around the world through online lessons, and I’ve loved seeing how language can open doors to new cultures, friendships, and opportunities. Teaching Spanish allows me to share not only my native language but also my culture in a way that’s fun, human, and personalized. I enjoy creating a space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and where we can laugh, learn, and improve together. Each student is different, and that’s what I love most—I get to adapt, be creative, and make every lesson meaningful. I started teaching because I know how valuable it is to have someone patient and supportive when you’re learning something new. I want to be that guide for others, helping them not just understand Spanish, but truly enjoy the process of learning it.

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Spanish

As a native Spanish speaker with experience coaching learners from different parts of the world, I tailor my classes to suit each student’s unique learning style, goals, and pace. I believe that language learning should be engaging, fun, and practical—so I incorporate interactive dynamics such as real-life conversation practice, games, cultural insights, and personalized activities to help students stay motivated and confident.

Teaching Methodology & Techniques
My method is flexible and highly personalized. I adapt each lesson to the student’s age, level, and objectives—whether that means using visual aids, storytelling, music, or structured grammar practice. I emphasize communication from day one and gradually introduce more complex structures to build fluency naturally.

Lesson Structure & Duration
Typically, my lessons last around 50 to 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to cover new material, practice it together, and review previous topics while keeping the session productive and enjoyable.

Qualifications & Experience
At 21, I’ve already worked with learners of various backgrounds through online platforms, helping both school students and adult beginners build strong foundations in Spanish. My international experience has taught me how to connect with learners from different cultures and adjust my teaching style accordingly.
