About Alex
Hi, I’m Alex, a British interior designer with over 15 years of experience working across hospitality and high-end residential projects in London, New York and Bangkok.
My career has included roles with AvroKO, Soho House and Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, designing spaces that bring together strong concepts, thoughtful details and a sense of character. My particular interests are design storytelling, colour, materials and helping an idea develop into a beautifully considered space.
One of the parts of my work I’ve always enjoyed most is supporting other designers—talking through ideas, helping someone strengthen a presentation or encouraging them to trust their creative judgement. Having worked in different studios and countries, I understand how exciting, demanding and sometimes intimidating this industry can feel.
I’m approachable, collaborative and honest in my feedback. I want to share the practical knowledge I’ve gained and create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and building confidence in your own abilities.
Outside interior design, I enjoy sketching, sewing and exploring art, architecture and different cultures—all of which continue to influence how I see and design spaces.

My lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to what you need—whether you’re studying interior design, preparing for your first role or already working in the industry and looking to develop your skills and confidence.
Drawing on over 15 years of experience in hospitality and residential design across London, New York and Bangkok, I’ll help you connect your creative ideas with the practical expectations of professional design.
Together, we can work on:
• Developing strong concepts and translating your inspiration into a cohesive design.
• Space planning, colour, materials, furniture and styling.
• Reviewing your portfolio so it clearly communicates your strengths and contribution.
• Improving presentations, visual storytelling and how you explain your design decisions.
• Preparing for interviews and understanding what employers look for.
• Navigating workplace challenges, responding to feedback and building professional confidence.
You’re welcome to bring a university project, portfolio, presentation or a particular challenge you’re facing. We’ll review it together, explore possible approaches and identify clear next steps.
My approach is collaborative: I’ll ask questions, offer honest, constructive feedback and help you develop your own judgement and design voice. You don’t need polished work or all the answers before we begin—just something you’d like support with.
Sessions take place online and can be booked for a focused review or ongoing guidance.
