About Sally
I have been an international school teacher for 8 years, working around the world. This has given me the opportunity to experience different cultures, and broaden my knowledge with regard to teaching curriculums & styles. I hold a Bachelors and PGCE from the University of Cape Town.
I am a teacher who loves providing lessons that inspire students to think critically and build on their knowledge. I understand that all students learn differently, and therefore like to include students learning styles in my planning.
I insist on using my sense of humor during classes, thereby creating a good rapport with students as well as classes that are fun and interesting.

I have been teaching Primary level internationally for over 8 years, and am therefore used to and excited by different countries and cultural experiences.
My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. This means differentiation and attention to each student’s needs and strengths. I strive to facilitate my students reaching their full potential, whether it be academically, artistically, or physically.
I am also a very big believer in the relationship between student and teacher. This is a relationship built on respect, caring, trust and loyalty. This relationship mixed with humor and an exciting environment, helps children learn in a safe and behaviorally controlled environment.
I encourage students to take risks and share their ideas without fear of judgement from their peers. Respect is a very important factor in the classroom, not only between teacher and student, but between students themselves. Agency is important, as it provides the students to feel safe and confident in the work that they are producing, and at times presenting.
