About Maria-Ariadni

I am an international student, currently on exchange at the University of Melbourne where I study international business law at a postgraduate level.

I have always been passionate about learning languages, which is why I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others develop their own language skills. I am fluent in three languages (French, English, and Modern Greek) and have a B1–B2 level in German. With degrees in French and English language and literature, I feel well-qualified to provide private lessons and academic support to students of all ages.

Beyond languages, I have a strong interest in communication and public speaking. I have actively participated in debates, moot courts, rhetoric competitions, and Model United Nations events, experiences that have strengthened my own communication skills. I have also worked as a public speaking tutor, helping students of different ages improve their presentation/debate skills and gain confidence when speaking in front of others.

About the lesson

Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, goals, and interests. During the first session, we will identify the student’s current abilities, areas for improvement, and learning objectives in order to create an effective and personalized approach.

The following sessions will focus on specific topics/lessons through clear explanations and a variety of exercises to ensure that the lesson has been properly understood and can be put into practice. The aim is not only to understand new concepts but also to develop the confidence to use them in daily life.

Learning a language requires patience, consistency, and effort. However, it should also be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I place great importance on communication and regularly discuss progress and challenges with students (and with parents of younger learners) to ensure that lessons remain clear, engaging, and adapted to their needs.

I can provide support with:
- Homework and academic support
- Reading and listening comprehension
- Writing and speaking skills
- Everyday conversation
- French, British, and American literature
- Public speaking and debate: speech structure, voice control, posture, confidence, and overall delivery
