About Luke
My musical journey began at the age of five with the violin before discovering my passion for singing, guitar and songwriting at sixteen. That passion has since grown into a career spanning over ten years as a touring professional singer, songwriter and vocal coach, performing more than 1,000 live shows across the UK, Europe and the United States.
My formal education in music, particularly the incredible musicians I was fortunate enough to study alongside, helped shape my career and ultimately led me to complete a First-Class BA (Hons) in Music Production & Performance and a Master's degree in Songwriting with Distinction. Since then I've worked as a soloist, session vocalist a member of several professional function bands, all while continuing to develop my original music, which remains my greatest passion.
My dedication to vocal excellence extends far beyond performance. I'm an avid student of voice, constantly exploring new research, techniques and ideas while continuing to practise and refine my own voice every day. I've been fortunate to learn from a wide range of teachers and approaches throughout my career, and I firmly believe that learning never stops.
Learning to sing isn't easy, and I certainly had my own struggles along the way. One of the most valuable lessons I was ever taught was that it's okay to make mistakes; you have to be a fool before a master. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my career and now forms a huge part of my teaching. My aim isn't simply to tell students what to do, but to help them understand why they're facing certain challenges, remove the guesswork and build the tools to overcome them.
As an active touring musician, everything I teach is grounded in real-world experience. Every lesson is tailored to the individual because no two voices are the same. Whether your goal is to build confidence, improve technique, prepare for performances or simply enjoy singing more, I'm passionate about helping you unlock your potential in a supportive, encouraging environment where consistent progress becomes inevitable.

Every voice is different, so every lesson is too.
Rather than following one rigid method, I draw from a range of contemporary vocal approaches including BAST, Teach Voice Training, SLS/IVA, CVT, Estill, and my extensive experience as a touring professional singer. Together we'll explore what works best for your voice, your goals and the challenges you're currently facing.
Lessons may cover vocal technique, breathing, range, tone, vocal health, performance, mindset, songwriting or repertoire, but technical exercises are always connected to real music so you understand not only what to practise, but why you're practising it.
I place a huge emphasis on consistent, measurable progress. Students receive structured practice plans, lesson recordings where appropriate, ongoing WhatsApp support and regular feedback to help keep momentum between lessons. My goal is to give you the understanding and confidence to become increasingly independent as a singer, rather than relying on lessons alone.
I mainly work with intermediate/advanced singers, artists and aspiring professionals, but I'm equally happy teaching complete beginners and singers of any age who are dedicated and passionate about improving.
Lessons are available online in 30 or 60-minute formats, although I generally recommend 60 minutes to allow enough time for technical work, applying it to songs and discussing any questions in depth.
