About Mari
I am Marina, I am a young professional from Italy and currently living in London. I wish to work as an Italian language tutor as I'd like to help those who wish to learn my mother tongue achieving their goal. I came to the UK over 4 years ago and here I studied English with Creative Writing at University. Thanks to this experience I was able to strengthen my language skills and establish myself in the academic field.
I consider myself a professional tutor and, as a multilingual person, I am aware of the complications of learning a new language and, for this reason, I can comprehend my students' limits and therefore help overcome them. Plus, thanks to my Italian academic history I have an excellent grasp of Italian grammar rules, conversational and formal speaking and general language nuances.

I like to tailor my classes to the students, their level of knowledge and their purpose with learning the language.
For example, for the people who wish to prioritize conversation over grammar learning, I like to structure the lesson around 2 or more general topics, allowing the student to talk freely and ending with a general revising of new vocabulary (which was used during the same lesson). On the contrary, for those who want to focus more on grammar and sentence structure, I will elaborate the lesson around specific topics, using handouts and examples from real life.
With younger students, I have taught children from 6 to 12 years of age, I usually like to involve them with games, riddles and more colourful lessons, in order to make the learning experience fun and entertaining.
Lessons typically are 1 or 2 hours long and can be scheduled remotely or in person.
