About Chiara

I am bilingual as my mother is Italian and my father is American. I grew up in Italy, where I studies English, French and Spanish in an International high school. I am currently attending King's College London and I will graduate in 2022 in War Studies. One day I hope to make it to the United Nations. I have experience teaching as I was tutoring an American middle schooler who wanted to learn Italian. Moreover, I was participating in a volunteering project in Italy consisting in tutoring foreign elementary schoolers who struggled with Italian.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology varies depending on what we are focusing on. For instance, if we are focusing on grammar I like to dwell on vocabulary as well as verbs as they are often the hardest but most important part of learning a new language. On the other hand, when focusing on oral conversation I like to pick an interesting and different topic in each class that allows us to expand our vocabulary while exploring relevant topics (climate change, foreign cultures, travelling, ...). I have a very versatile and flexible teaching method that allows me to find the right approach based on the requests of the student.
