About Henry
I am an 20-year-old student halfway through a course in History and Italian at Pembroke College, Oxford. I have not tutored through an agency before, but have some experience in teaching others Italian when helping lower years at school. I was taught to the level of a native speaker by an exceptionally good teacher , and aim to continue his own approach in teaching the language myself.

I believe foreign languages can all too often be taught in a bland and unexciting way, focusing more on ticking off vocabulary lists rather than allowing yourself to become truly impassioned by the people and culture of this wonderful country and the way in which they communicate. My teaching will not just cover the basic groundwork of the Italian language, but continually integrate pieces of literature, art, cinema and cuisine from across Italy to create a more diverse approach.
