About Matteo
I work in a college in Lyon and I am a researcher at the Jean Monnet University of Saint-Étienne, in the sector of technologies for educational inclusion and for the rehabilitation of people with cognitive disabilities. I have developed a professional experience of several years in the field of education, with young people and adults, and in the medico-social sector. This experience helps me to better understand the needs of the person, in order to create a relationship of empathy and to be able to provide individualized support. I am fluent in English and French.

I give private conversation lessons in the Italian language for all levels (beginners / intermediates / improvement), addressed to adults and younger (high school, college). Normally I start with subjects that I select and, little by little, we start to tackle other themes chosen by the student related to current events, Italian culture, sport or subjects that interest him the most. . I interrupt the conversation if there are questions about vocabulary or grammar, and whenever I realize that there are errors: in this case, I try to make the student think so that he can correct them. The method may vary depending on the specific needs of the student (for example, for preparing for an exam, a trip to Italy, etc.). We can also read texts, to work on written comprehension, see pieces from films or listen to music, to practice listening comprehension. The conversation takes place only in Italian. The lessons take place on skype or on other platforms (Zoom, Teams), or also at my place in Lyon.
