About Jonathan
I enjoy tutoring students in writing because I feel the skill of crafting prose is rare, yet easily learned. In my experience, students put too much pressure on themselves to execute “perfect writing,” which usually has the opposite effect. I am fortunate to have learned to craft clear, concise writing over the years and it is my goal to share this skill. It is easily learned with the right guidance. There is nothing that makes me prouder than being present for that “a-ha” moment when a new skill clicks. Let’s make this click.

My ability to work with different personalities and age groups aacross a variety of subjects is unique. As a former Division 1 student- athlete, I began my writing tutoring career assisting teammates with academic papers before working with my college’s writing center to help a broader spectrum of students. While working at the writing center, my tasks included assisting students with a variety of work not limited to persuasive, five paragraph essays, graduate school applications and academic research papers. After college, I continued to hone my craft by writing quarterly content for an investment manager, in addition to assisting students with college applications in my spare time. I enjoy working with students and professionals across all age groups and my experience allows me to tailor my personality to the task at hand.
