About Lucy
I am currently working part time for a Japanese newspaper in London. I am a native English/French speaker who was born and raised in Japan, and I have lived in Japan for 15 years. I graduated from Soas,University of London in 2015 with a 1st class BA degree in Japanese and Korean.
I am available to tutor either by Skype or in person, and I am willing to teach people of all levels until degree level.
Japanese is an exciting language to learn and I am sure that everyone has different reasons to want to study it. It looks complicated at a glance, but once you come to understand the rules and you are ready to put in the work, it is not as difficult as it looks! I can promise to curtail lessons to students' needs and desires, and I would love to be a part of your Japanese language learning process!
I am a French speaker as I am half Belgian, and I also went through GCSE, AS, and A-Level French at school, therefore I understand the process very well. It is also a language which is seen as fairly complicated, but once you get into the groove it will get easier and easier. It is an extremely fun language to speak and I hope as a tutor I can encourage you to fall in love with francophone culture as well as the language.
