About Mika

I am a Japanese woman in my early twenties, currently in New Zealand on a working holiday.
I enjoy talking about Japanese food and culture, from sushi and natto to matcha and hojicha, as well as traditional and unique Japanese foods. I also love discussing Japanese anime, especially Attack on Titan and The Promised Neverland, and I have enjoyed sharing and exchanging anime recommendations with international students. I am always excited to learn about new anime and perspectives from others.

About the lesson

My lessons are not only about Japanese language, but also about culture and communication. I can explain differences between Japanese, Western, and Asian cultures, and how people communicate in each context. I also introduce modern Japanese society, including trends among students, slang, and the lifestyle of young working adults.

That was enjoyable.

I didn’t use the textbook, but needed to find something new but still related for the students. What I need to improve my Lesson is organizing and finishing what the students want to learn with timetable for fluency in class.
