About Leah
As a guitar tutor, my teaching methodology is built on five core principles: motivation, patience, compassion, creativity, and technique. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to meet individual needs and goals.
I strive to inspire my students by setting achievable goals and celebrating their progress. Whether it's mastering a new chord or playing a favorite song, I ensure they feel accomplished. Learning guitar can be challenging, so I take the time to explain concepts clearly and give students space to practice at their own pace. I create a warm and friendly environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. I listen to their concerns and encourage open communication.
To keep lessons engaging, I incorporate fun activities that encourage students to explore their musical interests, such as songwriting or improvisation. I also teach proper techniques to ensure a solid foundation in guitar playing, including finger placement, strumming patterns, and music theory, which are essential for long-term growth. Together, we can embark on a musical journey that builds confidence and skill while enjoying the process of learning!

As a passionate guitar tutor with over four years of experience, I have had the privilege of teaching between 200 and 250 students, from high school to college levels. My journey began with a deep love for music and a desire to share that passion with others. I believe that learning guitar is not just about mastering techniques but also about expressing oneself and enjoying the process.
Throughout my career, I have celebrated several significant milestones, such as organizing student showcases where they could perform for family and friends, building their confidence and love for music. I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, tailoring lessons to meet each student's unique goals and interests. Whether it's exploring jazz improvisation, learning favorite songs, or understanding music theory, I strive to make each lesson enjoyable and rewarding. My mission is to inspire students to discover their musical voice and nurture their creativity, empowering them to reach their full potential as guitarists.
