About Veya

My teaching approach blends mindfulness with musicality to create a grounded, expressive playing experience. I guide students to become aware of their breath during practice—helping calm the mind and center the body before even striking a note. We focus on technique not just as a skill, but as a form of body awareness. From anchoring your hand position to developing smooth chord transitions, we build ease and flow into every movement. I also emphasize dynamic control and the emotional presence behind your phrasing, so your playing feels honest and alive. For students who value a calm space to grow, our lessons offer just that—a supportive environment where exploration is encouraged and pressure is left at the door. Some come to reconnect with their creativity; others seek physical comfort or a deeper emotional voice in their playing. All are welcome. Together, we’ll tune into both the sound and the sensation of the guitar. Whether you’re drawn to gentle strumming or heartfelt solos, you’ll learn to listen inward as much as outward.

About the lesson

With over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies, I specialize in guiding adult learners on their musical journey. Many of my students are returning to music after years—or even decades—away, and I understand the unique challenges and rewards that come with that.

My approach is supportive, adaptable, and judgment-free. I believe every player deserves to grow at their own pace, with lessons that fit their lifestyle and learning rhythm. Whether you're brushing off old skills or starting from scratch, I’ll help you reconnect with your creativity and confidence.

Flexible scheduling means we can build music into your life, not the other way around. I provide structured guidance when needed and space for exploration when inspired. Technique, tone, rhythm, and expression are all covered—always tailored to your goals and musical taste.

My sessions emphasize clarity, encouragement, and self-paced growth. I’m not here to push perfection, but to spark progress and joy in your playing.
