About Katelyn
Hello everyone!
My name is Katey, I am 19 years old, graduated high school in 2017, have a love of the great outdoors and am currently in my 3rd year of medicine at university. I finished as dux of my school with an OP2 and have been tutoring school-aged students in Townsville for the past 2 years.
I have loved helping local students and watching their academic confidence grow. I am a strong believer in the importance of developing a solid foundation of Science in primary and middle school from which to build upon.
I want to help foster a passion for science in young people just like you. Not only have I been a tutor, but I have also be tutored and know how important it is to have someone behind you, making learning enjoyable, helping you and boosting you to do your best.

Every student learns differently and I would tailor my tutoring style and materials to best suit you. My tutoring is one-on-one as this enables me to get to know you, you can ask questions without the influence of peers and ultimately, get the assistance you deserve. Given the nature of my degree, I have an ample supply of biology resources at my fingertips. A few examples of tasks I would love to help with include:
understanding tricky concepts
preparing for exams
assistance with homework
assistance with assignments
learning how to research
review topics learnt in class
