About Finn

I am a fourth-year Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Limerick with a strong academic background in Math and Physics. I achieved 98% in Leaving Cert Math and 100% in Leaving Cert Physics, and I have consistently achieved top grades in mathematics modules throughout my degree. I have always enjoyed Math and understand that many students find it challenging or intimidating. Through helping my sister and family friends over the years, I have developed a good understanding of how to explain concepts clearly and make Math more approachable and manageable for students who are struggling. I specialize in exam-focused preparation, helping students understand how to approach questions, avoid common mistakes, and apply their knowledge effectively under exam conditions. This structured, exam-focused approach is a key reason for my own academic success, and it is the same approach I bring to my lessons. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve understanding, and achieve their best possible results in Math and Physics.

About the lesson

I offer clear, structured one-to-one tutoring in Junior and Leaving Cert Maths and Physics, tailored to each student’s level and goals. I achieved a H1 in both subjects in the Leaving Certificate, including full marks in Physics and 98% in Maths, and I am currently in my fourth year of an integrated Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, where I have consistently achieved top grades in mathematics modules.

My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, and developing exam confidence. I break down difficult concepts step by step, show students how to approach questions methodically, and place a strong emphasis on exam technique and common mistakes.

I have experience giving grinds to family members and family friends and understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and adapting explanations to suit different learning styles. I also have teaching experience outside academics through delivering swimming lessons, which has helped me develop clear communication skills and a calm, supportive teaching approach.

Lessons can be focused on understanding course content, homework support, exam preparation, or targeted revision of weaker topics. My aim is to help students feel more confident, organised, and capable in Maths and Physics
