About Karsen
I'm working to become a middle school teacher with a minor in math. I have an associate's degree in education and possess experience in tutoring. Currently, I am actively engaged in observing a middle school math classroom so I get to see how it is taught, what is being learned, and what works and doesn't. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have a keen interest in literature, Disney, television, puzzles, and exploring various locations. As an introvert, I recognize the significance of one-on-one interactions and relationship-focused teaching methods. I firmly believe that fostering a comfortable and confident learning environment is essential for encouraging students to ask questions and embrace the opportunity to learn from their mistakes.

My teaching methods are relationship-based and bring student's interest. I am also a visual teacher so I draw and write out a lot when explaining and helping with questions so students can fully understand what I am explaining. I try to understand how students learn best so I teach them in that way and pull up videos and sounds so that it helps students remember parts that they are confused about and/or have a better understanding of it.
