About Josiah
I'm Josiah, a first-year medical student at King's College London and the first in my family to pursue medicine. I'm passionate about helping students feel confident in subjects they find difficult, because I've worked hard to get where I am. I was Head Boy at my school, where I led a team of prefects and founded Peer Link, a programme training sixth formers to mentor pupils through the transition to GCSEs. I've tutored since school, including as a GCSE Maths and Science tutor, and I also teach music. Outside tutoring, I'm interested in how AI can improve patient care, which led me to research CRISPR gene editing for my EPQ (A*, 26/28). I'm patient, supportive and always well prepared.

I'm a first-year medical student at King's College London with A* in A-level Maths and Chemistry, an A in Biology, and Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths. I tutor GCSE and A-level Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and GCSE English, online by video call. Each one-hour lesson starts with making sure you fully understand the content, then moves into rigorous exam practice. I focus on how to tackle questions according to the mark scheme, so you learn exactly what examiners look for and how to pick up every available mark. I've tutored 1-1 and in groups, including as a GCSE Maths and Science tutor at my former school.
