About Aaron

Personable, enthusiastic and self-motivated, armed with strong academic achievements and an early background in teaching, with a passion for Maths and Physics, aspiring in tuition entrepreneurship. I'm a freelance tutor for both Maths and Further Maths for the Edexcel exam board in AS and A-level. I was a professional primary and secondary school tutor for an institution, but with preference of mentoring mature and independent minds I've been a tutor for Year 12s and 13s for more than a year. My decision to take a character back in my school days that always went around passionately teaching and turn it into a profession motivates me every day to open a future for not just myself but first for the individuals that I'm at service to, and it's not just because I enjoy it or because people recommended it to me, but because I really do believe those I'm helping actually become better as I do too. I take pride in my style of teaching, which is to establish a strong mentality first before growing a mind that pays attention to detail and solves through rational thinking.

About the lesson

A lesson of mine can span between 1-2 hours, depending on what is being taught, for students of AS or the full A-level Edexcel Maths course. There can be a focus on either the pure or applied sides or the course as a whole, giving the understanding of content where necessary and how to rationally approach and answer all types of exam questions. That is the simplicity to a high grade, understanding the content and then exam practice overload to ensure you have seen every single question that is possible to be asked, leaving nothing that you are not prepared for.

Aaron was my a level maths tutor and I’d say he is a trustworthy tutor because anytime he was available he would always fit me in for a session. As well as that, Aaron would always ensure that the tutoring lesson was dedicated to my needs, as I am a visual learner he would ensure that his lessons were tailored to my learning needs. Furthermore, I personally struggled a lot on pure maths and would always get a low B, sometimes a high C. However, in the last 2 set of mocks I done just before my a levels, I received A* for the first time within the a level course, which truly showed Aaron’s dedication to my learning.
