About Blake

Hi! I’m Blake Song. I’m a native Korean speaker and currently studying at UQ as a pharmacy student. I like teaching Korean in a way that feels simple, natural, and actually useful in real life. My lessons are relaxed and conversational, so there’s no pressure. just steady progress and a comfortable space to learn!

About the lesson

What I can help you with

Whether you’re taking a Korean class at uni or starting from zero, I can help you with whatever you need,

including:

- Support for university Korean subjects (assignments, grammar, practice dialogues)
- Pronunciation correction so you sound more natural to native speakers
- Beginner Hangul — reading, writing, and basic structure from the start
- Korean food and cooking basics, plus how Koreans usually eat together
- Everyday Korean culture — drinking culture, social etiquette, casual speech
- Modern Korean slang and natural expressions
- Learning Korean through K-drama scenes (breaking down lines, tone, and context)

I focus on teaching expressions and situations that real Koreans actually use, not just textbook phrases.

How I teach

The most important thing to me is that you feel comfortable and not afraid to make mistakes.

Here’s what my lessons usually look like:

- Simple, clear explanations
- Natural conversation practice
- Adjusting the pace to match your level
- Real examples from culture, daily life, and university content
- Optional help with class materials or assignments

In short: my goal is to help you learn Korean in a way that feels natural, easy to understand, and enjoyable.

Lesson length

Most lessons run for 60 minutes,
but longer sessions (75–90 minutes) are available if you prefer!

A bit about me

I was born in Korea and speak Korean natively.
As a UQ student, I’ve helped many friends and classmates with Korean, and I’ve learned how to explain things simply so they finally “click.”

My lessons are friendly, flexible, and supportive. If you want to improve your Korean without stress, I’d be happy to help you get started.
