About Scott

I trained at LAMDA, graduating with First Class Honours in Classical Acting, and I’ve worked as a professional actor since. I also worked for LAMDA Exams at the drama school itself from 2022 to 2024.
I run the LAMDA exams programme at the High School of Glasgow, where my partner Joanne and I teach 40+ pupils each week. Over the past four years more than 110 of our pupils have sat LAMDA exams, with a 97% distinction rate.
I played the lead role of Albert in the National Theatre’s UK and world tour of War Horse for two years. I was in the New York transfer of Zadie Smith’s The Wife of Willesden, and my feature films include The Outrun (Netflix) and The Road Dance (Amazon).

About the lesson

I teach Acting (solo and paired), Speaking in Public, and Speaking Verse and Prose, from introductory levels through to Grade 8.
Technique comes first. Before a pupil sits an exam I want them to understand the criteria they’re being marked against and to have the vocal and physical groundwork to meet it — that’s where the distinctions come from. I enter pupils at the grade that’s genuinely right for them rather than the highest one available, because a grade sat too early does more harm than good.
Lessons are 60 minutes and suit anyone from a nervous beginner to a pupil working towards Grade 8 for UCAS points. I’m happy to work with pupils who just want the confidence rather than the certificate.
