About Anna

I am a university student studying a Bachelor of Laws honours degree at the Queensland University of Technology. I recently graduated high school in 2017 and was awarded an English merit by the South Australian Certificate of Education board and the South Australian Government for my accomplishments in my year 12 English studies and so, I am confident I can provide you with the skills you need to take a step forward in your own studies.

Whilst I don’t have direct experience with tutoring, I have previously done work as a volunteer at the Adelaide Secondary School of English to provide those learning English as a second language with support and assistance in improving their written and verbal communication skills.

As I have recently graduated high school, I am well-aware of the high standard of written and verbal communication needed to attain exceptional grade. As a result, I am also aware of which methods, thought processes, tips and tricks to adopt in achieving this.

About the lesson

In working towards making sure you get the results you want from our study sessions, my teaching style is entirely flexible. Once you’ve helped me identify which areas of learning you’re most interested in improving, we can refine our sessions to properly address those concerns so that we reach your goals through a unique and tailored teaching method.

I am particularly well suited to helping you with structuring essays and making sure your thesis statement is properly addressed throughout your essay. I can tailor our lessons around specific ways to structure paragraphs, different written techniques to use in making sure you address your main arguments and ways to make your writing clear and concise if you want to take the quality of your assignments and essays to the next level.

I am also skilled in proof reading assignments to help you identify areas where there could be some more detail or improvements. I also offer assistance with conversation and helping you build confidence in your verbal expression.

What can you expect in your first lesson with me?
I like to take the opportunity to get to know each other in our first lesson and specify exactly what you want to achieve in our sessions. We would clarify any particular objectives or any concerns you want to target in our sessions. We would also figure out what teaching method works best with the objectives we want to achieve together.
