About Aditya
I am Aditya Kumar Kushawaha an active competitive chess player and dedicated chess coach with a structured, disciplined approach to developing players from the ground up.
Having competed in Rated tournament and represented my University (Banaras Hindu University) in zonal and national university games I am FIDE Rated 1495 player with my chess.com peak rating of 2300 in rapid 2100 in blitz, My background allows me to break down complex chess principles into simple, intuitive concepts that students can immediately apply in their practical games.
My Coaching Philosophy:
Active Problem-Solving: I don’t believe in lecturing for an hour. Students actively calculate, evaluate, and justify moves on an interactive board throughout the entire session.
Patience & Encouragement: Building tactical discipline and board awareness takes time. I provide a supportive, pressure-free environment, particularly for young learners and adult beginners building confidence.
Systematic Thinking: I train students to develop an internal "checklist"—evaluating candidate moves, identifying opponent threats, and calculating variations methodically before touching a piece.
Who I Work Best With:
Young Learners & Scholastic Players: Instilling foundational focus, analytical discipline, and sportsmanship.
Adult Improvers: Breaking through online rating ceilings on Chess.com / Lichess with efficient, practical study methods that fit into a busy schedule.
Aspiring Tournament Competitors: Sharpening time management, game preparation, and calculation depth.
My goal as a coach is not just to teach you good moves, but to train your mind to think clearly, stay calm under time pressure, and genuinely enjoy the art of chess.

..Who This Class Is For:
Whether you or your child are learning the basics, preparing for rated tournaments, or stuck at an online rating plateau (Chess.com / Lichess), my lessons are tailored to your current level:
.Beginners: Board setup, piece coordinates, checkmating patterns, and golden opening rules.
.Intermediate (1000–1600+): Tactical calculation, middle-game strategy, pawn structures, and practical endgame technique.
.Tournament Aspirants: Time management, opening preparation, calculation depth, and psychology under pressure.
..What We Cover in Our Sessions:
Tactical Vision & Calculation: Learn to systematically spot forks, pins, skewers, and multi-move tactical combinations before your opponent does.
Opening Understanding (Not Rote Memorization): Build a solid repertoire tailored to your style, focusing on plans, ideas, and pawn breaks rather than blind move memorization.
Middle-Game Strategy: Master piece coordination, weaknesses, outposts, and king safety so you always know what to play when there are no obvious tactics.
Endgame Conversion: Understand essential King & Pawn endings, Rook endgames, opposition, and conversion techniques to win won games.
Personal Game Analysis: Every week, we review your recent games to pinpoint blunders, recurring bad habits, and areas for quick rating gains.
How the Online Class Works:
Conducted 1-on-1 via Google Meet or Zoom.
We use an interactive online board (Lichess Studies / Chess.com Classroom) where you move the pieces, solve live puzzles, and annotate lines alongside me.
After every session, you receive a shared study link containing all analyzed positions, annotated games, and custom practice puzzles to solve before the next class.
First Session / Assessment:
In our first class, we will evaluate your current playing strength, review 1–2 of your recent games, and outline a realistic road map tailored to your rating goals.
