Ikeni is a practising barrister and a friendly and approachable tutor. Ikeni’s approach is pragmatic and objective-focussed, as well as academically rigorous. He is keen to understand a student’s strengths, weaknesses, and expectations, at the outset, prior to planning a course of tuition. Tuition is aimed at supplementing, and filling in gaps which may have arisen on, the student’s course of study including in general legal and critical thinking skills. Students should be in a position to provide information on the division of topics on their course, reading lists, previous writing samples, and previous essay and/or exam questions, as well as an indication of problem areas.
Ikeni's preferred mode of tuition is electronic, utilising cloud and video conferencing services, though he will consider face-to-face tuition where convenient and appropriate (this is currently less likely due to Covid-19).

Details
Ikeni's rates are negotiable depending on what level or type of tuition is required. There is a good deal which can be taught by way of critical thinking, essay structure, and style, to assist a student to improve performance. More substantive tuition, for example, dealing with difficult topics, requires more work. Rates will be discussed with the student during the first session when a tuition plan is devised. Even a a short course of tuition, such as 3 sessions, can substantially assist a student who is competent but struggling to achieve consistency in their marks or is unable to increase their performance by 5%.
