• At what age did you start practicing this sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

  I started playing football at age 14, grew up with an AFL background but made the transition into football and never looked back. As I progressed further into football, I ventured out to coaching to help further my football knowledge and education and have thoroughly enjoyed it over the past 10 years whether it’s been playing or coaching.

• What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

  I enjoy watching most sports that is competed at a high level, I still enjoy playing AFL and cricket as well as football and love watching sports like NFL, NBA, Tennis etc. I think you can take away little key notes from each sport to bring back into your own sport and performance.

• What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue this craft?

  Throughout team coaching, I’ve realised it’s so difficult to help the individual advance on their own game through team games and training so to be able to help critique an individuals performance and game and to see them further learn the sport and work on their specific actions is an amazing aspect of the game that I’ve fallen in love with.

• Do you have an achievement that you're particularly proud of?

  One achievement I’m proud of, was the opportunity to teach players within a A-League system at Western United FC. The learnings I gained, the players I coached were coachable and we achieved really good outcomes.

• How have your achievements and challenges made you a better athlete?

  I’d say that the more I was challenged or the more times I failed, the better I am as a coach, player and person overall as I’m witnessing areas of self-improvement that need to be better so I can critique myself to be better for my students and players. I will lead first through failure and challenges.

• If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

  I would go for a jog or a workout session with any competitive athlete who has made it to the bigger stages as I believe they’ll all have different levels of knowledge to give. Our discussions would work around their work ethic, commitment, challenges and how they look to continue achieving greatness.

• How do you help people stay motivated?

  Throughout my Endgame Academy, we set out realistic and achievable goals to hit within the 5-10 sessions we plan. We make it personal, straight from the student, so when we face challenges, we come back to these goals and refocus and align ourselves.

• What makes you a Superprof?

  I’m just here to help players become better through analysed assessments and training plans. Focusing on little 1% areas to improve and to continuously seek better from my students, whether I’m a “SuperProf”, that comes down to the thought of my students when a session is complete.
