About Tom
I am a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who spent 3 years in consulting and 1 year as a continuous improvement manager at a fortune 20 company. I have a finance bachelors from Stonehill college, Accounting Masters from Purdue global, and I am working on an MBA with Lehigh University.
As a consultant I delivered 3 projects with over $500k annual benefits ($600k+ efficiency enhancement, $800k+ EBITDA enhancement, and $12M+ Cost avoidance) following LSS principals. During these engagments I gave introduction to LSS courses for the applicable organization (Pharma QC labs, Healthcare clinic, Manufacturing warehouse) for shop floor through executive levels. I also was responsible for the on boarding and training of new consultants.
As a Continuous Improvement Manager I am teaching and coaching individuals across 7 distribution centers in the principals of LSS helping them deliver improved efficiency and quality. I have also been the primary driver of two projects which will deliver $500k+ in benefit to our network.

I believe in principal based instruction with practical applications to the world you live and work in. Not all LSS tools are applicable to every situation, I believe in using the principals behind these tools to solve complex business problems.
Having a case to work with is critical for practical application, if you are working on something at your job I will help you understand how to find the root cause of your problem and how best to solve it.
If you are looking to learn about LSS I will use projects I have executed on to help connect the principals we dicsuss with how they were applied to achieve a result. I will also challenge you to interpret similair data and help you pracitce how to validate your hypothesis with follow up interviews with your stakeholdrs. Quantitative data is powerful but being able to connect qualitative data to your quantitiatve data is what truely allows for powerful analysis.
Lastly, I can teach you the principals of creating and delivering effective presentations for all levels of an organization or support your development of a presentation from your project. I will use similar presentations to what I have developed and how it was delivered to explain WHY it was done this way. Again, it is about practical application of principals, every audience is different so you need to understand how to prepare for the known audience and how to adapt to the unknown audience on the fly.
