About Everett
I’m a passionate guitar tutor with 12 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching around 150 students, helping them develop a deep love for music and the skills to play guitar confidently. My teaching philosophy is rooted in flexibility, patience, and understanding, ensuring that each student’s learning journey is personalized and enjoyable. Whether you’re just starting or looking to improve your skills, I create lessons that suit your individual goals and musical interests. I believe that learning guitar should be a fun and rewarding experience. I use a combination of practical exercises, music theory, and real-world examples to help students connect with the instrument and understand music on a deeper level. My students have gone on to perform in bands, participate in competitions, and develop their own unique musical styles. Through my approach, I aim not only to teach technical skills but also to inspire creativity and confidence in my students. It’s incredibly rewarding to see my students grow as musicians and people, and I’m dedicated to helping each one reach their full potential.

I use a flexible teaching style, adjusting lessons to fit each student's goals and interests, whether you’re learning classical, jazz, electric, bass, or acoustic guitar. I believe in understanding each student's unique needs, ensuring lessons are tailored to their strengths and areas for improvement.
Positivity plays a key role in my teaching, as I encourage students to stay motivated and embrace challenges. I create an open, supportive atmosphere where students feel confident exploring their creativity and developing a passion for music. Integrity is at the heart of my lessons, promoting clear communication and honest feedback throughout the learning process.
In addition to guitar, I also teach music theory, songwriting, and improvisation, providing a well-rounded musical education that helps students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for music.
