About Zyon

Hello and welcome! I’m Zyon — a dedicated NT2 (Dutch as a second language) teacher with a passion for helping newcomers feel at home in the Netherlands. Over the past years I’ve helped many students — expats, civic integration candidates, and international students — improve their Dutch for everyday life, work, and exams. I hold a Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies and have a strong background in intercultural communication and teaching. What I love about teaching Dutch is seeing how students gain confidence step by step — and realizing they already know more than they thought. I understand from my own experience learning languages how challenging (and sometimes frustrating) the process can be. That’s why my lessons are practical, encouraging, and tailored to you. I’ve taught Dutch at all levels (A0–C1), using a wide range of methods. Whether you’re just starting out, preparing for the civic integration exam, or aiming to speak more fluently at work, I’ll help you reach your goals with structure, flexibility, and a friendly approach.

About the lesson

My Dutch lessons are designed around your needs and ambitions. Together we create a plan that makes sense for you, and we work at a pace you’re comfortable with.

Beginners learn the basics step by step: pronunciation, essential vocabulary, simple sentences, and everyday communication.
More advanced students work on fluency, expanding vocabulary, mastering grammar, and understanding Dutch idioms and culture.
I also offer specific preparation for civic integration and state exams (inburgering, Staatsexamen NT2).

My teaching style is clear and structured but always adapted to you. I use interactive materials — texts, audio, video, roleplays, and real-life examples — to help you practice and improve in a meaningful way.

You won’t just learn words and grammar — you’ll learn to feel confident expressing yourself and understanding Dutch culture. Whether you need Dutch for work, study, or daily life, I’ll guide you toward success.
