About Gigi

Hallo, I'm Gigi!

I'm originally from Germany and have been living in beautiful Australia for the past four years. I'm currently based on the Sunshine Coast, where I'm pursuing my PhD in Marine Biology.

Having completed my Master's degree in Australia and spent the past few years studying, working and traveling internationally, I know firsthand how rewarding (and sometimes challenging!) it can be to communicate in another language.

I'm a friendly, patient and curious person who loves meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing a little bit of German language and culture along the way.

While my academic background is in marine science rather than language teaching, I bring strong communication skills, enthusiasm and a personalized approach to every lesson.

Whether you're learning German for travel, work, study or simply for fun, I'd love to help you feel more confident speaking my native language.

Ich freue mich auf dich!

About the lesson

Hallo!

Whether you're just starting to learn German, preparing for a trip, or hoping to feel more confident speaking the language, I'd love to help!

I believe the best way to learn a language is to actually use it, so I like to combine everyday conversation practice with useful vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. Learning a language should be enjoyable, not intimidating! We'll work at your pace, with plenty of opportunities to practice and ask questions.

As a native German speaker who has lived, studied and worked in both Germany and Australia, I can also share insights into everyday German language and culture.

Lessons typically run for 60 minutes and are suitable for beginners and intermediate learners of all ages. Already speak German but want to become more fluent and confident in conversation? I'd love to help with that too!

Most importantly, I aim to create a friendly, encouraging environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and building confidence in your German!

What I offer:

German lessons for beginners and intermediate learners

Conversational German and pronunciation practice for all levels

Everyday vocabulary and practical grammar

Personalized lessons based on your interests and goals

Online lessons from anywhere in Australia

Lessons can be conducted in English, German or a combination of both, depending on your level and preferences.
