About Erasmini

Hi! I’m Erasmini I’m a native Greek speaker who has recently graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First-Class degree in Biomedical Engineering.

I’m a friendly, patient and approachable person, and I really enjoy meeting new people and helping them learn. I speak both Greek and English fluently, which means I can easily explain things in English when needed, especially when you're just starting.

I’m also someone who loves communication and working with people. During university, I was a student ambassador, where I regularly spoke to prospective students and families, gave presentations and helped people feel comfortable asking questions.

I know that learning a new language can feel daunting at first, so I want my students to feel completely comfortable with me. There are no silly questions and no pressure to be perfect — I want you to enjoy the process and feel proud of your progress.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed around you and what you want to achieve. Whether you're starting Greek from zero, want to speak with your Greek partner or their family, are preparing for a holiday in Greece, or simply want to learn a beautiful new language, we'll focus on the Greek that is actually useful to you.

For beginners, we'll start from the basics and gradually build your confidence with the Greek alphabet, pronunciation, vocabulary, useful phrases and simple conversations. As you progress, we'll introduce grammar and more complex topics naturally, without making lessons feel overwhelming.

I like to keep lessons interactive and conversational, using real-life situations, dialogues, reading, listening and vocabulary exercises.

Every lesson is adapted to your level, interests and pace. And don't worry about making mistakes — that's how you learn!

Lessons are usually 50–60 minutes, and can be completely online from the comfort of your own home.

I have also been helping my British boyfriend learn Greek from scratch, so I understand first-hand the challenges English speakers can face when learning Greek. He can now confidently order food and drinks, communicate in everyday situations and use Greek while we're in Greece — and I'd love to help you reach that same point!
