About Bobbi

Fashion and garment construction is my obsession, I would love to share that passion with people who want to learn!

I have my own small business, making retro inspired clothing and have built up a strong customer base over the years so there is rarely a day I am not at the sewing machine. My sewing teacher mum taught me to sew when I was 5, and I haven't been able to stop since!

About the lesson

Learning how to sew is both a timeless skill and a great way to express your creativity through what you wear! I love to help my students bring their fashion visions to life, customised to their measurements so they can walk away with a garment they have not only made themselves, but they can actually wear!

I love a creative project, so lessons will be based on what you want to make or learn, with the actual construction guided by me. We will bring your creations to life through basic pattern-making, altering existing patterns and finally sewing them up! These lessons are tailored to your specific needs. This flexibility allows you to focus on areas that you find more exciting or useful, which helps to speed up the learning process.

Sewing can be therapeutic, especially when you're making something that you're passionate about. So if you're someone who loves fashion and creating new looks, I can guide you towards achieving that dream. You'll be amazed at the sense of pride and accomplishment you'll feel when you complete your first garment.

I have my Bachelor in Fashion Design, and have run my own fashion label for 4 years. The label has a focus on ethical clothing and each order is sewn by me, so I have extensive experience on the sewing machine.

Lessons will be face-to-face in my Sydney home studio, and are charged at an hourly rate. They can be 1-3 hours, its completely up to you!

My lessons are for people of any age/shapes/sizes/genders! If you're a beginner that wants to learn, then I would love to help :)
