About Jessica

I am a translator and interpreter, but have been tutoring English for over a year now and tutoring Japanese to friends for over six months at beginner level. I understand the struggle of learning languages and want to help language lovers like myself break through the barriers you may face in your learning journey, help build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, listening and expressing themselves in another language.

About the lesson

I tend to cater my teaching style and method to my students. I like to try a whole range of learning styles with my students, listen to their thoughts on how they enjoy learning and what engages them, then cater to their learning because everyone picks up languages differently and it's not always easy, so I tend to focus on learning while building confidence in the student.

I will provide any learning material necessary as I have an abundance of textbooks from my own personal study, so there are no additional textbook expenses and I will prepare informative PowerPoint slides with additional notes for you to use for your own personal revision!

Perfect! Jessica has been tutoring both me and my husband who are at different levels. She is professional but also really approachable. Jessica provided resources and is always really organised for the lessons. She seems to be able to cater her style to the person learning, especially for the difference between where my husband and I are at with our prior Japanese experience, but also towards what will be useful for us.
